In 1995 I started by using space on my California Internet Service Provider (ISP) this was a common practice when most dialup speeds were 28k even at 56K which came next ISP would usually give a small space to anyone connecting through them but in 1996-1997 quite a few people were looking for their own domain names and I first got a domain Crouter.com and eventually hosted on Missoulaweb and was doing sites for Florence-Carlton Church and Big Sky Region SCCA Missoulaweb changed their name to Modwest and I moved on to gain more bandwidth and space always looking for the best hosting for the buck. Right Now I rent two services
